b'Supporting Young MobA key priority of our Strategic Plan is to support the transition to high school for Year 5 and 6 students, and we were incredibly proud to launch our Leadership Days this year to do just that. Our young students loved the experience of working together as teams through a series of tasks, as well as writing and presenting speeches about someone they looked up to. We are incredibly grateful to Bloomberg who allowed us to use their offices for this session. We have been so inspired by presentations about parents, older siblings, family members, friends and celebrities, which reinforced just how important role models are in our personal and educational journeys. On the following pages, take a look at the stories of two of our primary school students, Ethan and Merekai, as they reflect on the people who inspire them the most.Celebrating Aboriginal ExcellenceOur network of GO students and alumni continues to grow, illustrating the many different forms, professions, dreams and careers that showcase Aboriginal excellence. We were so excited to launch our Alumni Network in 2023 and create a space where each of the students we have so proudly supported over the years could come together and share their stories. Our Alumni Network is fundamental to ensuring that ourGOstudents have access to inspiring Aboriginalrole models, and we look forward to sharing more of their stories over the coming year. In 2023, our CEO Charlene Davison and Scholarship Program Manager Jaleesa Godson also had the pleasure of attending the 2023 National Reconciliation Week Parliamentary Breakfast in Canberra. This years National Reconciliation Week theme was Be a Voice for Generations, recognising this critical moment in our shared history. Narelda Jacobs facilitated an amazing panel discussion, and we loved hearing the unique insights from several Indigenous leaders. 2023 ANNUAL IMPACT REPORT 19'
