b'THE STORYThe Goodes OLoughlin Foundation Limited (the GO Foundation, or GO) was founded in 2009 by Adam Goodes (Andyamathanha /Narungga man) and Michael OLoughlin (Kaurna/Ngarrindjeri / Narungga man), two widely renowned and revered Aboriginal sportsmen and leaders, and their friend James Gallichan. In 2018, GO transitioned to delivering independent school scholarships directly to students, which coincided with a shift of focus towards public education. The initial round of public school scholarships commenced in 2018, administered in partnership with the Public Education Foundation (PEF). In 2019, GO expanded the Program to Adam and Michaels hometown of Adelaide, then welcomed Canberra to the GO family in 2021.The GO Programs approach to improving education and employment outcomes for Indigenous people focuses on building cultural confidence and identity in our students.
